How to get a message trace in G Suite


You are using Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for G Suite, and need to obtain a message trace (typically for a support query, or for troubleshooting mail flow issues within G-Suite).  Steps below show how to obtain this information, for Exclaimer Support.


Follow steps below:

  1. Login to your G-Suite admin portal, here.

  2. Navigate to Reports > Audit > Email Log Search:

  3. Enter details for the message you are attempting to trace - for example:

  4. Click Search.

  5. Select the required message from the search results list:

  6. Having selected a message, the trace is opened - for example:

  7. You can expand these details, by selecting the address at the bottom of the page.

  8. To download this, click the below icon in the top right of the screen and select Download as CSV file:

  9. You can attach the downloaded file to an email to Exclaimer Support, or when opening a support ticket.
