How do I reroute my emails away from Exclaimer's Azure servers?

In order to successfully redirect your emails away from our Azure servers, you need to deactivate/delete the Transport Rule you have in place and deactivate/delete your Office 365 connectors.

Please note that you MUST deactivate/delete the Transport Rule before doing the Office 365 connectors. This will prevent emails from your company bouncing when they are sent.

Once you have deleted your Transport Rule and Office 365 connectors, this cannot be undone.

Deactivate/delete Transport Rule

If you don't want to permanently delete the Transport Rule and simply deactivate it, follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to the 'Exchange admin center' and choose the mail flow option from the left-hand pane. You will see the Transport Rule that you created setting up Signatures for Office 365:

    Transport rule in Office 365.

Closeup of Transport Rule in Office 365.

  2. Click the tickbox to deselect the Transport Rule. This will take a few moments to update:

Click tickbox on Transport Rule to deactivate it.

The Transport Rule will no longer be active. To reactivate it, simply click the tickbox again.

To permanently delete the Transport Rule:

  1. Click the trashcan icon situated above the Transport Rule:

Delete Transport Rule to Exclaimer Cloud.

  2. A separate lightbox will appear asking you to confirm you want to permanently delete your rule:

Are you sure you want to delete your Transport Rule?

  3. Click Yes. Please note that this cannot be undone.

  5. A lightbox will appear asking if you want to turn the connector off:

Are you sure you want turn off your connector?

  6. Click Yes. You will now be able to see the connector is off:

  7. If you previously deleted your Transport Rule, repeat the above six steps for the 'Send' connector. If you only deactivated the rule, you will not be able to turn off the 'Send' connector. You will see a note on the right of the screen saying 'One or more transport rules are still referencing the specified connector.'

To permanently delete both connectors:

  1. Highlight the 'Receive' connector and click the trashcan icon:

Delete Receive connector in Office 365

  2. You will be presented with a lightbox asking you to confirm that you want to delete the connector:
