I'm a German customer - which region should I specify for my Exclaimer subscription?

If you are a German Office 365 user, your Office 365 tenant might be hosted in Office 365 Germany or in Office 365. It is important that you know which of these applies when you add a subscription for Exclaimer Cloud Signatures for Office 365, as you are required to select a region as part of our subscription process:

The region selected here determines which of our data centers will host your subscription:

• If your Office 365 tenant is hosted in Office 365 Germany, you should set your Exclaimer Cloud region to Germany

• If your Office 365 tenant is hosted in Office 365, you should set your Exclaimer Cloud region to Europe

Note: selecting the wrong region here will compromise the subsequent onboarding process. 


Identifying where your Office 365 tenant is hosted

There are two easy ways to determine where your Office 365 tenant is hosted.

1. Check how you log in - for example:

o If you log into portal.office.de to manage your Office 365 tenancy, then you are hosted in Office 365 Germany.

o If you log into portal.office.com to manage your Office 365 tenancy, then you are hosted in Office 365.


2. Check your default domain:

o If your default domain in your Office 365 tenant ends with .de, then you are hosted in Office 365 Germany.

o If your default domain in your Office 365 tenant ends with .com, then you are hosted in Office 365.

Note: If you would prefer your Exclaimer Cloud subscription to be hosted in our German Exclaimer Cloud data center (rather than the EU one), you will need to raise a Microsoft request for your Office 365 tenant to be moved to Office 365 Germany, before on-boarding with Exclaimer Cloud Signatures for Office 365.
