Excluding messages based on message body text

If required, you can exclude messages from having a signature applied, based on message body text. Exclusion options are available when you choose to apply a signature, using the Applies To option. This option is available for each signature tile on the Home page - you can:

Hover your cursor over the Applies To section and then select the edit icon:

-or-

Select the options button and then the Applies To option:

Having selected either of these options, the Add person/group window is displayed:

In the Exclusion section, select the Do not add this signature if the message body contains this text checkbox, to activate exclusion options:

Here, you can type the required text string and then select one of the following radio buttons:

  • Search the entire message - check for the text string in the entire message thread
  • Search only the most recent message in the thread - only check the most recent message in the thread

If required, you can select the Add the next applicable signature (if any) instead checkbox. When selected, the next applicable signature will be added. If this option is not selected, no subsequent signature will be applied.

For a working example of how these options can be used, please see Creating and applying reply signatures.
